As Tennessee’s professional association dedicated to supporting EMS education, TEMSEA is utilizing its platform to assist with the dissemination of this important educational resource and to help ensure that EMS educators and providers across the state have convenient access to the curriculum.
TEMSEA is honored to support the Tennessee Office of EMS and educational initiatives that strengthen EMS education and advance the profession throughout Tennessee. However, TEMSEA’s role is limited to assisting with the distribution and accessibility of these materials.
All questions, concerns, requests for clarification, or feedback regarding the curriculum or its content should be directed to the Tennessee Office of EMS.
Mental Health Curriculum for EMS Education
In response to the ever-increasing challenges surrounding mental health in EMS, the Tennessee EMS Board took decisive action during its June 16, 2025 meeting, unanimously approving a new Mental Health Curriculum to be incorporated into all initial EMS education programs for EMR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic students.
All EMS education programs will be required to include this curriculum for any classes with a start date on or after July 1, 2026.

Ventilator Curriculum
In efforts to ensure that EMS continues to provide the best care possible, The Tennessee EMS Board and Office of EMS recently approved a new ventilator curriculum. The new curriculum consists of both new curriculum for initial ventilator courses and a bridge course for existing vent trained paramedics.
